Day 1: Nairobi / Aberdare National Park

Met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi off your arrival morning flight, briefed by our representative and then depart Nairobi and drive through the lush Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantation to the cool Kenyan highlands to arrive at the Aberdare Country Club in time for lunch. The club is the base hotel for your tree hotel – The Ark lodge/ Similar. The Ark has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.

Day 2: Aberdare / Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to retrieve rest of your luggage and then drive further North to arrive at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Lodge / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600 hrs, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Samburu

Full day in the reserve with game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs respectively. Samburu is famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator. These are the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, Beira oryx, and Grevy zebra. All meals and overnight at the Samburu Sopa Lodge or Samburu Lodge / Similar.

Day 4: Samburu / Lake Nakuru National Park

Depart after breakfast and proceed southwards with a brief stop at the stunning Thompsons falls. At Thomsons Falls, the Ewaso Narok River drops a sheer 243 feet over a ledge of volcanic rock, to create these magnificent falls, located in the southwest corner of Laikipia, at the northern foot of the Aberdare range. The Falls attract colorful birds and provide good photographic opportunities. A nature trail at the base of the falls and through the gorge is a safe haven for the endangered Colobus monkeys, baboons, and small animals. Proceed towards the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving at Lake Nakuru lodge / Similar in time for lunch. Short siesta and at 1600 hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park, that also takes you to the shores of the lake famous for its birdlife especially flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the world-famous game reserve, the Masai Mara arriving at Mara Leisure Lodge or / Similar in time for lunch. At 1600 hrs enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

Day 6 & 7: Masai Mara

Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives at 0630hrs and 1600 hrs respectively. Considered by many to be Kenya’s finest game reserve, the 650sq miles of the Masai Mara adjoining Tanzania’s well-known Serengeti, forming one ecosystem.  The open rolling savannah grassland of the Mara is the home of numerous wildlife species including elephant, rhino, lion, cheetah, leopard, hyena, jackal, buffalo, eland, topi, impala, gazelle, warthog, and zebra.  From June to September, the annual Wildebeest migration takes place when thousands of these animals sweep across the plain and seek out new grazing areas. Day 8

After breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch at the famous Carnivore restaurant or Haandi Indian restaurant. Thereafter, drop off at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight arrangements.
